The Binhi of Peace and Change Inc (BPCI) or simply Binhi is a non-government organization (NGO) registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) under registration number CN 201640117. It builds from the new-defunct PROJECT Inc which was organized in 2006.
Binhi's Board is composed of Barbangsa Jalaide, RSW; Dr Aleyssa Abdulkarim, RSW; Dexter Alawi; Nurham Hussin and Noor Mohammad Saada, RN. Together they have not less than collective 80 years of experience in community assessment, project planning, service provision, monitoring, and evaluation.
Bangs Jalaide brings with him more than 2 decades of government-driven social work leadership and management as well as the partnership with donor-funded projects.
Dr. Jing Abdulkarim is an institution in social work education in Region 9, having mentored the majority of licensed social workers now spread across the Zamboanga Peninsula and the insular provinces of ARMM.
Dexter Alawi is a seasoned community implementer and educator.
Nurham, though the youngest among the directors, brings with him a wealth of experience working with both government, non-government and donor-funded projects.
Noor Saada is noted for his contribution to Muslim and Madrasah education and with rich expertise in donor-funded project design and development, implementation, and evaluation.
Among the past partnership of Binhi under the then PROJECT Inc includes TESDA- ARMM, DTI- ARMM, DSWD- ARMM, Gerry Roxas Foundation, ACT for Peace Programme, AusAID BEAM, USAID-EQUALLS, LGSPA, Philippine Business for Social Progress (PBSP), Peace and Development Advocate League (PDAL) Tawi-Tawi, POs/Community Producers Cooperative of Tawi-Tawi, IRDT Philippines and Mahardika Institute of Technology, College of Social Work, Bongao, Tawi-Tawi.
Mr. Jalaide said, aside from being a reliable local partner, what is important for Binhi is to see movement and transformation of peoples, families, and communities where Binhi operates. He added, with good past track records, Binhi may once again become a model for local service provision, quality implementation, and meaningful engagement with communities.
